Spring is coming mighty fast! If you live in the south, you would know about all of the crazy weather we've had this winter, and you would also know that you're soooo over it! Luckily, the first day of spring is March 20th! (Yay!) Of course with an upcoming seasonal change, a style change is sure to follow! I have been looking online like crazy at all of the adorable new pieces some of my favorite stores are proud to present to the public. My absolute favorite store to shop at would be J.Crew! (Hence the name of this blog!) I particularly like to shop at the factory store though, because I try to pull off the whole "prep for less" thing any chance I get.
Spring for me means breaking out those clothes that just make you feel light and airy! Don't get me wrong, I love winter clothes as well! You can never go wrong with jeans, your too cute riding boots, a not-too-oversized sweater, and a knit scarf to finish it off... but who doesn't want to whip out a quarter sleeve t-shirt, cropped pants, and a cute pair of flats? That has to be one of my favorite outfit combos ever! Another thing I am looking forward to in late spring is wearing shorts! Sure us girls have to shave our legs on an almost daily basis, but why wouldn't we if it means we get to throw on a super cute pair of J.Crew chinos?! The factory store has so many cute colors to offer this spring! (Blues, pinks, neutrals.) These colorful creations can also be easily paired with any chambray top! I think chambrays are so interchangeable and can be done with just about everything. They're also plain (in a good way), so you can throw on a nice statement necklace and it will completely change the outfit.
One of my last obsessions lately has to be the factory scalloped shift dress brought to you by the one and only J.Crew. It is my definition of a perfect dress. I could see it being very versatile. You could wear it as a day dress with a pair of espadrille heels, or dress it up at night with pumps, a statement necklace, and some bold lipstick! I was actually thinking about buying this dress for my graduation this coming June because it can easily transition from a morning ceremony to a party with family and friends at night. Of course I have plenty of time to fall in love with other dresses (which I hope I don't!), but this dress may be a little out of my price range, unless of course, the factory is offering one of their amazing sales! We'll see! (And I'll hope!)
I put together a collage of some of my favorite pieces and attached links below just incase you spotted/read about something you liked and wanted to scoop it up ASAP! Enjoy!
